Guntersville is a small town situated on Alabama's largest lake, Lake Guntersville, which has 950 miles of shoreline surrounded by foothills of the Appalachians. Guntersville is well known to anglers for its bass fishing and the fishing tournaments hosted here throughout the year. Other water sports on Lake Guntersville include boating, skiing, jetskiing, sailing and swimming. In addition to water activities, there are four golf courses in the Guntersville area. Lake Guntersville State Park is located seven miles from downtown. |
