Jackson
(or Jackson Hole as it’s sometimes called), is located in northwestern Wyoming.
The "Hole," as early trappers called the valley, is 48 miles long and 8 to 15 miles wide.
The Town of Jackson is located in the southern end of the valley.
Today, Jackson Hole is a winter and summer playground for outdoor enthusiasts.
In the winter, you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides.
In the summer, you can go hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, white water rafting, kayaking and fishing, to name just a few.
Jackson Hole's culture is unique, blending its western heritage with that of a destination resort.
Jackson Hole is a major gateway for tourists visiting nearby Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and the National Elk Refuge.

Grand Teton National Park
located in northwestern Wyoming, offers spectacular mountain scenery and a diverse collection of wildlife.
The central feature of the park, the Teton Range, is a 40-mile-long mountain front rising from the valley floor some 6,000 feet.
The signature peak, Grand Teton, stands 13,770 feet and twelve other pinnacles rise over 12,000 feet.
Seven lakes adorn the base of the range, and more than 100 alpine lakes dot the backcountry.
Elk, moose, mule deer, bison and pronghorn, are commonly found in the park.
Black bears roam the forests and canyons, while grizzlies range throughout more remote portions of the park.
More than 300 species of birds can be observed, including bald eagles, falcons and swans.

Yellowstone National Park
is perhaps the most distinguished and popular National Park in the United States.
At about 2.2 million acres, equaling 3,472 square miles, it is immense in size.
Elevations in the park range from 5,000 to 11,000 feet.
Yellowstone is filled with geothermal geysers, hot springs, steam vents, and mud-pots.
The most famous geyser is Old Faithful which erupts approximately every 65 minutes.
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is famous for its colors, shapes, and waterfalls.
The major scenic attractions are located on the 142 mile Grand Loop Road (a figure eight shaped road in the center of the park).
A wide variety of wildlife live in the Park including bison, elk, mule deer, black bear, grizzly bears, moose, coyotes, pelicans, eagles and many other types of animals.
